15 Random Acts of Kindness

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

Random Acts of Kindness day is in February, but I decided to share this list now because being kind is something to do every day.

My sister and I came up with these ideas one day during school. But they are only a few. There are so many other ways to give people completely unexpected moments of happiness in their day.

Without further ado, the list. . .

  1. Write a note to someone you love
  2. Do a sibling’s chore
  3. Wash the dishes for someone
  4. Get up early and make breakfast for your family
  5. Read a book to a younger sibling (or niece or nephew)
  6. Leave a note for a store worker
  7. Leave a gift for the mailman
  8. Make your mom her favorite tea
  9. Offer to pay for someone else’s meal at a restaurant
  10. Drop a $5 bill for someone to find
  11. Leave your change in the vending machine
  12. Sing your sibling’s favorite song for them
  13. Make a special dinner for your family
  14. Write a note of appreciation for your friends
  15. Take a plate of cookies to a neighbor

What is something special you’ve done for someone recently? Is there something someone did for you that you’ll always remember? I’d love to hear about it!

  1. Those are great ideas! I especially love the idea of leaving a gift for the mailman, and paying for someone’s meal at the restaurant, I had someone pay for a meal when I was going out with friends, and forgot my money:)

  2. These are good ideas! I remember leaving money in game machines a few times and also leaving the quarter in the shopping cart when we used to shop at Aldi. 🙂 People have blessed me in many ways by simple acts!
