My Summer Bucket List!

Summer is nearly here! With the arrival of summer come summer plans and dreams. Vacations, events, and picnics make summer a happy time of memories. I made a bucket list of things I hope to get done and do this summer:

Organize my room. I need to go through everything and sort, get rid of, and donate.

Go to an amusement park! My family is planning a trip to one at the end of July, and I am so excited about it!

Read ten books I’ve never read before. A friend just recommended the Agatha Christie novels, so I’m excited to read more! Plus I just got three C.S. Lewis books from the library that I can’t wait to dive into. . .

Hang various pictures in my room. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while, but it keep s getting pushed to the bottom of the list. I’m hoping to also make a collage of song lyrics.

Help with VBS. I volunteered to teach the 2-4-year-olds this year, and have started gathering what I need and writing up a list of supplies for the VBS coordinator. To me, VBS is one of those events that says, “Summer is here!”

Get my learner’s permit. I’ll turn 16 near the end of June, and I hope to get my learner’s permit soon after! I need to find out what I need to do first and what the requirements are.

Have a tea party. I love the Victorian era. And tea is one of my favorite beverages. I’d like to have a tea party this summer and invite friends from church. I think it would be lovely to have it outside and serve traditional Victorian sweets.

Try something new. I put this on my bucket list almost every year, and I always have a fun time doing something I might not otherwise. Any ideas as to what I should try?

Redesign my blog. I know, I just did it, but I found a theme that is amazing and I have some other fun ideas as well.

What about you? Do you have any summer plans? What do you think is the best part of summer?

  1. Love all of these! Especially the tea party. 😉 ❤

(Now I feel like I'm going to start copying you. . . I just wrote out my monthly review last week and now I have this post planned for later. XDXD)

  2. Oh yes, I need to reorganize so badly. My room is such a mess right now.
Also, I want to get my permit too!! I turn 16 in September. But I’m still a beginner in driving. . .
You should try running, for the new thing! Or drawing.

  3. Ooooh!!
I love some of these ideas! Our church’s VBS is next week, and I’m on the hook for either crafts or the 4-6 year old’s class. (My sister’s got first pick on what she wants to do…) I hope that all your plans come to fruition without much hassle! (*mentally makes note to have tea party*)
